First Kwaj Swim Meet

The kids just celebrated their first Halloween on island. There were numerous activities for the kids to enjoy for almost what seemed like two weeks. They definitely enjoyed it and will post some pics of the fun once we catch up.

In September, Mason and Maegan participated in their first Kwaj swim meet.  It was Mason's first meet of his life and he did well in the two events he raced in. Maegan competed in four events and did fantastic! Since there are no other swim teams nearby, the kids essentially race to improve their "personal best" time, so everyone cheers each other on to improve.
Getting the swimmer ready for the meet... Maegan is in the purple swim cap
and Mason is just behind her.

Mason looks focused...

Waiting in the bullpen can get boring...

Pre-race jitters...

Alright, "GAME ON!!"...

Mason's first time to swim the freestyle event.

Great job Mason!!

Maegan says "Mason, let me show you how it is done."

Maegan is in the "zone."

READY, SET....

....GO!!!!

After a long swim of the length of the pool (25 yards), it is chillin' time...

What's better than a cold snow cone during a hot swim meet?

The Aljure's support team.

Moms' cheering for their kids...

Maegan's backstroke is her strongest swim stroke...

Getting ready for the team medley...

The horn sounds and Maegan flies through the air...

Does anybody know where I am supposed to be??

Boy, I am glad to rest for a minute.

After a long day of racing, it's nice to come home to some tea...
thank you, Lauren for sending me the tea set!
